Many talented artists around the globe are recognised by using various tools and materials such as pencils, pen, crayons, charcoal, sand, straws, wool and other unique materials for their creative pieces. But how many of these artists do you know to use a delicate material such as an eggshell to creating their art pieces. There are! But veeeeeery few!

Talking of how delicate these shells are, can you imagine how complicated or should I say, how challenging it is to use such material to construct an art piece? Of course, a lazy artist like myself can’t even imagine!

Award winning creative artist, Azasime Kwame Lanto is a confident young creative genius from Ghana, West Africa, who is currently taking over the art scene in Africa. He is known to combining discarded eggshells (which he gathers from food vendors and waste sites— of course he processes them) with acrylic paint and an adhesive(white glue) to creating magic on a canvas. Mind blowing! Isn’t it?

These mind boggling artworks showcased below are masterpieces, as well as my favorites, which has been given unique local names by my dear friend, Lanto. He also indicates the medium used in executing all of the seven artworks displayed.
