I planted a cactus🌵with my sister almost at the same time in the same kind of soil (I guess mine was even planted before hers) few weeks ago. Just by the end of that week, my sister’s cactus had started flourishing and mine seemed, well, dead, although I watered and gave it enough sunlight at every appropriate time.
At some point, my mischievous sister almost hoodwinked me into buying her idea of mixing her POOP with the soil, which she said, “…it’ll marvelously boost the growth of your Plant, as it did to mine)”. Ew! Not a chance!

Worried, I examined my cactus each day and watered it some more, hoping to see a sign of growth but without success. Later, I decided to change the soil and Yes! I blamed it on the soil (You wouldn’t believe it) and almost gave up because it still failed to flourish.

“Esi! Your cactus is growing!”, my sister shrieked in excitement, as she entered my bedroom this morning.
I hurriedly jumped out of my bed to take a closer look at the “dead plant” and BOOM! theeere it waaaas! A tiny light-green sprout emerging from the crown of the dirty old cactus. Words cannot express how elated I was to catch sight of this new growth. “This is a good omen”, I thought.
Eventually, I learnt something very important from the growth of these two cactuses.
The growth of my sister’s cactus and mine proves that everything happens at it’s own time. We must understand that patience is essential in our lives, as we need to trust the process after we’ve taken action, allow the events unfold naturally. I also learnt we need to support and celebrate the victory of others rather than the hate and envy, for our time will also come and expect the same positive energy in return.
